All licensing applications and queries are to be submitted and processed digitally - we don't have a public counter facility. Where this is not possible, please email us at [email protected] or telephone 01582 546040.

If you need to speak to an officer, please call between the hours of 10am to 12 noon or 1 to 3pm.

There are two types of taxi licence: Hackney Carriage and Private Hire. We licence hackney carriage vehicles, private hire vehicles, their drivers and operators. Applications for vehicle and driver licences are now carried out online.
